MSTS Amrutanjan Route. In the GIP days when the british introduced the Railways between Mumbai and Thane, the trains required reversal at Khandala. There was a reversal station at Khandala. It had a bridge and later a huge Amrutanjan pain palm hoarding was put on the bridge. The Route has two tunnels. The crossover at the reversing station is very interesting. The Route is steam driven to suit the historic times.
