MSTS Matheran Hill Station Route. Matheran is a
hill station between Mumbai and Pune. It is 800 meters above mean sea level.
The route has a steep gradient and sharp curves. The length of the route is 21
km. The route is narrow guage and the train is known as Toy train. The traffic
operates only in day time, and also the train traffic is closed in monsoon.
There are three stations, Jumapatti, Waterpipe, Aman Lodge. The lush greenery
is the speciality of the route.
