MSTS Route--Solapur. This is a diesel route, one of the important routes connecting western India to South India. The actual route is double track from Pune to Bhigwan. From Bhigwan to Mohol it is single track. Again Mohol to Solapur it is double track. The MSTS route has been done fully double track and electrified. Overtaking is provided at all small stations except Daund and Kurduwadi. Route is DEM data based and is 274 km long. Lot of freight traffic is there.
